An e-commerce marketplace specifically for companies and businesses located in a select group of democratic countries to facilitate the buying and selling of goods and services produced in those countries. With a combined GDP of approximately sixty trillion dollars per annum the Democracy Trading Platform provides a conduit service for those that wish to support democracy through trade and commerce.

Democracy Trading PTY Ltd is an Australian company based on the Gold Coast in the state of Queensland. Please read our terms and conditions carefully before using the Democracy Trading Platform. By using the Democracy Trading Platform, you agree on behalf of yourself and your company or business to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Democracy Trading’s mission is to create an e-commerce marketplace comprising companies and businesses located in a select group of democratic countries. An online platform service linking buyers with sellers with an emphasis on quality products and services.

A place for both domestic and international trade amongst companies and businesses who wish to support democratic values and principals. Eligible members can buy, sell and compare products, goods and services on the Democracy Trading Platform. The inclusion of countries participating on the Democracy Trading Platform is purely at the discretion of Democracy Trading PTY. Ltd.

The seller is indicated on the respective products details along with their country of origin and website. Democracy Trading facilitates a marketplace for the sale of goods and services on the Democracy Trading Platform but is neither the buyer nor the seller. Accordingly, the contract formed at the completion of a sale is purely between the buyer and the seller. Democracy Trading is not a party to this contract nor assumes any responsibility out of or in respect to the contract including but not limited to warranties, fitness for purpose, shipping and payment. Any disputation in regard to the transaction is purely between the buyer and the seller. The seller is responsible for the sale of their products and for dealing with any claims or issues arising out of or in connection with the contract between the buyer and the seller.

Sellers items will appear on the Democracy Trading platform for one year starting at the date of posting the advertisement for a given product or service. All seller’s items and services advertisements placed on the Democracy Trading Platform will remain visible for twelve months starting on the date of posting. All advertisements will automatically renew after the twelve months period unless deleted prior to the automatic renew date. The deleting of any advertisement prior to the automatic renew date is the sole responsibility of the seller. It is incumbent on all buyers and sellers to be able to form and abide by legally binding contracts. No more than one product or service is permissible per advertisement. Democracy Trading reserves the right to remove any advertisement placed on it’s platform at any time if the advertisement does not meet the guidelines set out by Democracy Trading. Countries are selected for inclusion on the Democracy Trading Platform purely at the discretion of Democracy Trading PTY. Ltd. and as such Democracy Trading reserves the right to delete or add a country or countries to the platform at any time.

You may need to own a Democracy Trading account to use the Democracy Trading Platform. You may need to be logged in to use the services of the Democracy Trading Platform. You may also be required to have a valid payment method associated with your account. If there is a problem charging your selected payment method, we may charge any other valid payment method associated with your account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your Democracy Trading account regardless of whether the activities are authorized by you or undertaken by you. We are not responsible for unauthorized access or use of your Democracy Trading password or account. You must ensure that the details you provide us are true and correct and notify us of any changes. You can access and update certain information you have provided us in your account settings in your account area of the website.

Users of the Democracy Trading Platform are prohibited from using the service for any purpose be it personal or commercial not expressly authorized by Democracy Trading. The Democracy Trading Platform is to be used entirely for commercial e-commerce purposes only. Any type of behavior deemed offensive and outside the guidelines set out by Democracy Trading will lead to an immediate suspension of the offending members account and the possibility of a permanent suspension from the Democracy Trading Platform. Democracy Trading reserves the right to suspend any members account and or delete the account of any member at any time if they fail to meet the Democracy Trading Platform guidelines.

Democracy Trading as a pure conduit service takes no responsibility for compliance with both domestic and international law pertaining to the sale of goods and services on the Democracy Trading Platform including but not limited to import tariffs, duties, quotas and taxes. Adherence to the law both domestic and international is the responsibility of the buyer and the seller. It is incumbent on the buyers and the seller to ascertain the legality of the sale of any product or service on the Democracy Trading Platform in accordance with the laws and legal requirements of both the country of origin and the country of delivery, as would be the case in any transaction between two parties both international and domestic. Democracy Trading reserves the right to delete any advertised item listed on the Democracy Trading Platform if it is deemed not to align with the Democracy Trading Platforms values of quality products and services.

If an item is removed from listing we will contact you via email to provide an explanation as to why the listing was removed.

All buyers and sellers on the Democracy Trading Platform must register with Democracy Trading and receive a membership number which will be displayed on all interactions for both buyers and sellers on Democracy Trading. All sellers must have a functioning website for authenticating purposes. Any seller who does not have a functioning website will be denied access to the Democracy Trading Platform. All seller’s companies and businesses must be registered with the appropriate government agency regulating body of the seller’s country of origin. Only eligible companies and businesses based in the countries nominated by Democracy Trading are eligible to list products as seller’s on the Democracy Trading Platform. Democracy Trading reserves the right to remove any company or business from the Democracy Trading Platform at any time if it is deemed ineligible. Individuals can be buyers but not sellers on the Democracy Trading Platform. For a buyer to become a seller on the Democracy Trading Platform they must fill out the seller’s registration form.

The price of products listed on Democracy Trading shall be in the nominated currency selected by the seller during registration. Democracy Trading provides a Google currency conversion calculator for those who wish to covert the sellers price into another currency. The conversation calculator is provided to Democracy Trading by a third party and as such Democracy Trading has no responsibility as to the accuracy of the currency calculator regarding currency exchange rates at the time of contract. It is fully incumbent of the buyer and the seller to check currency exchange rates at the time of contract via a third party application of their own choice at the time of sale.

Members of Democracy Trading can deactivate or delete their account by accessing the deactivate or delete option in their account settings. All product items and services advertised by the member will be deleted if they choose to deactivate or delete their account at no expense to Democracy Trading. Banner advertisements shall remain in place for the agreed period determined by the member prior to deactivation or deletion of an account on the Democracy Trading Platform. A deactivated account will retain all information pertaining to the registration information provided and can be reactivated at any time. A deactivated account will require the registration process to be repeated if the member wishes to continue to use the Democracy Trading Platform.

All payments to Democracy Trading Platform including singular posting advertisements and banner advertising are calculated in USD.

Payment options, Payment terms as well as shipping alternatives are selected by the seller at the time of registration with Democracy Trading. These are purely at the discretion of the seller as to what options in regard to payments and shipping suite their individual company or business model.

Democracy Trading has no part in the alternatives provided by the seller and as such has no involvement in either the payment or shipping arrangements between the buyer and the seller. Any disputation in regard to payment and shipping arrangements and the transaction process are purely between the buyer and the seller.

Graphics, logos, page headers, button icons, scripts and service names included in or made available through Democracy Trading are trademarks or trade dress of Democracy Trading PTY. Ltd. Democracy Trading’s trademark and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service that is Democracy Trading’s.

All content on the Democracy Trading Platform including images, audio clips, digital downloads and data compilations are the property of Democracy Trading PTY. Ltd. or it’s suppliers and are protected by Australian and international copyright, authors rights and database rights laws. Trademarks and trade dress are not to be used in any manner that is likely to cause confusion amongst customers or in any manner that disparages or discredits Democracy Trading.

All other trademarks not owned by Democracy Trading that appear in any Democracy Trading service are the property of their respective owners and are not to be used or reproduced in any way without express written consent. You may not use Democracy Trading logo or images without our written consent.

The user privacy policy applies to your use of this website and all Democracy Trading applications, services, products and tools provided by the Democracy Trading Platform. The user privacy policy applies regardless of how you access or use these services including via mobile phone and apps.

We collect your personal data when you use our services, create a new Democracy Trading account, participate in conversations via Democracy Trading messenger or interact with us. We also collect personal data from other sources such as Democracy Trading affiliates, credit agencies and companies as well as data providers. When you use the Democracy Trading Platform or send e-mails, text messages, and other communications from your desktop or mobile device to us you are communicating with us electronically. By doing this you consent to receive communications from us electronically and agree that communications that we provide to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.

We process your personal data for various purposes and based on several legal bases that allow this processing. For example, we process your personal data to provide and improve our service, to provide you with a personalized user experience on this website, to contact you about your Democracy Trading account and our services, to provide customer service, to provide you with personalized advertising, marketing communications and to detect, prevent, mitigate and investigate any fraudulent or illegal activity. We also share your information with third parties including service providers acting on our behalf for these purposes. In addition, we may share your personal data among Democracy Trading affiliates in order to fulfill our contract with you under our user agreement.

Retention periods may vary between different countries and jurisdictions.
